Action in the Hennepin County District Court for personal injuries allegedly sustained by plaintiff in a fire, while wearing
clothing which had been treated for fire resistance by defendant, Leef Bros., Inc. Said defendant filed a third-party complaint
against E. I. duPont de Nemours & Co., manufacturer of the product used to treat the clothing, and against Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company, compensation insurer of plaintiff's employer. The case was tried before Donald T. Barbeau, Judge, and
a jury, and on the basis of a special verdict, the court ordered judgment for plaintiff for $45,200 against defendant and
judgment in favor of duPont, the action against Aetna having been dismissed. Defendant and third-party plaintiff appealed
from an order denying its alternative motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict or for a new trial. AUTHOR: MASON
